Lots of people think they’re healthy because they haven’t run into any health problems. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any brewing, or that there won’t be trouble with their health somewhere down the line. So many people say they are healthy, when they’re not really healthy at all. These methods will help you work out whether you’re genuinely healthy or just kidding yourself:
The Whites of Your Eyes
Take a look at the whites of your eyes. Are they really white, or do they look off color to you? If they are, you should see a medical professional. Dull eyes or off colored eyes could indicate a much more serious problem that you need to address ASAP.
Your Hair Color
Most people won’t start going grey until later on in life, but there are some exceptions. If you’re more than half grey before you’re 40, this could be the sign of a medical condition like diabetes. Don’t just accept your grey hair; go to see a doctor.
Poor Sleep
How do you sleep at night? If you toss and turn and struggle to get up in the morning, you don’t sleep very well. Even if you think you get 8 hours a night, if this is poor quality and interrupted, it isn’t healthy. The only way you know if you’re well rested enough, is if you wake up at the same time each day without an alarm.

The Shape of Your Body
The shape of our bodies can sometimes be an indicator of how healthy we are too. If you’re overweight, chances are your body is an apple shape. Apple shaped bodies are at more of a risk when it comes to heart disease and other obesity related problems. Pear shaped people can also be overweight, but not necessarily so. If you carry a lot of weight around your middle, it could be time to see a doctor.
Anxiety
Anxiety can creep up on us for all kinds of different reasons. Ask yourself why you think you’re feeling this way. Usually, anxiety is a sign that something isn’t right in our lives. You can help this by taking deep breaths when you feel an anxiety attack coming on, and even practising meditation. People say that with regular meditation, you can find the answers you’re looking for. If your anxiety doesn’t improve and seems to get worse, you might want to consider emergency care. It’s unlikely, but a severe anxiety attack could actually be an asthma attack or something dangerous.
Toilet Habits
Your toilet habits can be a big indicator of how healthy you are too. If your urine is quite dark and it doesn’t smell right, you should see a doctor. The same goes if you notice strange changes in your bowel movements, or you don’t have many bowel movements at all. Make sure you get this checked out – don’t be embarrassed!
If any of the things on this list aren’t right with you, you should get them checked out. It might be a simple case of making changes to your diet/lifestyle. Good luck!
