If you find it hard to feel good about yourself or if you feel as though you are constantly in pain then you will know what a horrible feeling this can be. At times you may not want to get out of bed and you may even find it hard to get up and get your chores done as well. Over time, this can have a debilitating effect on your health, but there are things that you can do to try and make yourself feel better.
Always Have Breakfast
You may not be a morning person, but everyone needs fuel to start their morning. If you happen to skip breakfast then your body won’t be giving you 100%. It’s super important that you establish a routine here and that you also look out for the three main macronutrients. This includes carbohydrates, protein and fat. It helps to be creative here as well, not to mention that it is super easy for you to try and make a ton of meals, way ahead of time.
Complex Carbohydrates
Simple carbohydrates are usually found in things like pastries, desserts and more. They really
don’t offer you any nutritional value, and if you are hormonal then this can really cause these types of cravings. If you are in pain then you may feel the need to comfort yourself by having simple carbohydrates as well, and this is the last thing that you need. These types of carbohydrates can make you feel sluggish and not good about yourself in general. To avoid this, try and make sure that you are aware of what you are eating, or even look into natural menopause supplements to see if they can give you the boost you need. That being said, complex carbohydrates can help you to stay fuller for longer, and whole-wheat is always the way to go.
Stay Hydrated
If you do not consume enough water then you could be putting your health at risk on a day to day basis. You may feel lightheaded, tired, physically drained and more. Your body likes to have water way more when compared to sugary beverages. If you want to turn things around then consider having ice-cold water instead of having a sugary drink. This will really help you to see a difference and you may even see a change in as little as one week. Diet drinks are to be avoided because they can cause problems like stomach cramps and even dietary upsets, so stay away wherever possible.
Sleep
An unhealthy diet really can affect your sleep. When you are constantly exhausted, you won’t have any energy to do anything. Try and make sure that you are getting the right amount of sleep every single day. When you are drained, you may get the urge to try and nap during the day as well but this won’t be doing you any favors. It could stop you from falling asleep at night and it may even make it hard for you to get up and active due to how sluggish you feel.
