We all lead such busy lives, and very few of us can say that we get to see our loved ones as much as we’d want. Let’s face it, juggling work, running a home and raising kids doesn’t leave all that much extra time which is why our social lives can sometimes suffer. So when a special occasion rolls around, it’s the perfect excuse to get everyone together and spend some much needed quality time with the ones that matter most. With easter around the corner, it’s a great opportunity to spoil the kids and treat the family to a delicious roast dinner with all the trimmings. If you’re having easter round at your place this year, here are some of the ways you can make it egg-stra special!
Decorate
There are lots of cute little bits and pieces you can buy at the moment in shops to decorate for Easter- or you could get crafty and DIY some pieces yourself. From Easter wreaths to painted eggs, pastel bunting and much more, it’s a fun way to celebrate the season. If you have storage space, you could get a big plastic container with lid and put all of your seasonal pieces in and store them away for next year once you’re done. That way it doesn’t cost much but you make your home look fabulously festive. Seasonal flowers are another fantastic way to decorate, there are lots of stunning pastel colored bouquets in shops at the moment. You could make a gorgeous centerpiece for the table using them.
Have an Easter Egg Hunt
What better way to keep kids (and keen adults!) busy over Easter? As well as hiding chocolate eggs around the home and garden, you can also buy plastic egg shaped shells that you can fill with whatever you like. From money to sweets to clues for bigger prizes and much more it adds another dimension to the hunt. It can be as simple or elaborate as you want, but makes for an ultra fun Easter day activity. It’s a fantastic way to entertain friends and family at home until dinner is ready.

A leg of lamb is a popular choice for meat, but you could go with whatever you fancy.
